Felice Beilin & Peter Appleton: Engaging the Imagination
Monday 23 May - Sunday 5 June
Felice Beilin's work concentrates on the connection between humans, nature and landscape. She aims to capture the viewers' attention by depicting a sense of rhythm, energy and drama, equating these elements with emotions stirred within us which link to our own experiences spent around the landscape and nature.
There are subtle references to the forms and shapes found in landscape and nature which she weaves into her work in dynamic gestural movements. The colour tones and relationships within the paintings are as important as the composition.
Felice is a member of Arena Studios & Gallery in Liverpool
Peter Appleton is a member and one of the directors of Arena Studios & Gallery in Parliament Street Liverpool. His work is contained in a number of private collections in the UK and he is represented by View Two Gallery in Liverpool.
His personal interaction with the landscape and people inspire his work. He uses observations of the world around him coupled with his inner feelings and expresses those within his paintings. His desire is to convey a strong sense of emotion or sense of place and his work is expressive in nature.
