Short Courses & Workshops

As well as our revolutionary Read to Lead course, our Courses department run a range of different short courses and workshops, that can be commissioned or applied to on an individual basis.

For people who want to share reading and learn more about shared reading practice with older and younger people, parents and carers who want to begin reading aloud with their children to anyone who wants to read and immerse themselves in great literature with others from those with expertise, our special short courses cater for all.

Short Courses and Reading Retreats

Fancy spending your Saturday exploring a great poem with a community of fellow readers? Or your Wednesday evenings exploring what Shakespeare has to teach us on assertiveness in the workplace? How about some help choosing the best books for your children? Or simply some time for you to read, relax and learn from The Reader Organisation’s best teachers?

Our lively and varied programme of Short Courses and Reading Retreats are open to everyone who wants to engage with the serious pleasure of exploring great literature. Subjects and outcomes will vary, but you will leave reading well and feeling good.
