Our Reader-in-Residence for the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea has been delivering groups across the community since October 2011, including groups in Brompton Library and Chelsea Library, where one daytime group is run by volunteers trained by The Reader Organisation.
Our partnership with Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea Libraries continues to strengthen, and we are also working with and are also working with community organisations such as New Horizons over 50’s centre and Kensington Palace. Our groups are reaching over 50 people each week, and participants regularly tell us how vital the group is to helping them get through their week.
'This group has really helped me through some dark times’
‘This bit, about being cosy by the fire, it’s a bit like this group isn’t it? Friendly, and safe.’
The Reader magazine offers a mix of new poetry and fiction, classic and neglected works and interviews with leading literary figures.
