Liverpool

"The Reader is becoming recognised as a major social enterprise and is without doubt a fantastic ambassador for Liverpool." - Christopher Graves, Tudor Trust

Liverpool is our home and our work in the city region includes Shared Reading groups across a range of sectors, as well as the development of the International Centre for Reading and Wellbeing at Calderstones Mansion House.

We are partners in the City of Readers project with Liverpool Learning Partnership, which aims to make Liverpool the foremost city for reading in the UK. We're working to transform attitudes to reading across the city, developing a generation of readers who will take the power of great books into the future.

Our current Shared Reading projects include:

Health and Wellbeing

  • Mersey Care NHS Trust
  • Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals NHS Trust
  • Feelgood Factory
  • Liverpool CCG
  • Sefton CVS

Older People and Dementia

  • Merseyside Volunteer Reader Scheme - Big Lottery Fund

  • Calderstones Mansion House

Criminal Justice

  • Merseyside Probation Trust

Education and Young People

  • Off The Page - Liverpool Families Project
