“Being in the reading group has enabled me to meet new people. The daytime one gives me the 'me time' break from job seeking which I really value. The evening one has allowed me to develop a good core of social contacts.” - Shared Reading group member, Wirral
Wirral is where Shared Reading began back in 2002, and is home to our longest running groups.
Due to the end of our funding by Wirral Borough Council there are changes to Shared Reading provision in the area as of April 2016.
We are pleased to be able to continue to offer some Shared Reading groups in Wirral, and are working hard to be able to add more groups in the not too distant future. These upcoming groups are likely to be led and supported by volunteers - if becoming a volunteer in Wirral is something you are interested in, please click here for more information or contact Katie Stevenson: firstname.lastname@example.org / 0151 729 2200
On behalf of all The Reader staff that you may have encountered over the years, we’d like to thank you for attending our groups and we look forward to being able to continue to read with you under these arrangements. We want you to know we are still working hard and hope for a brighter future on Wirral.
