In October 2012, The Reader was awarded funding from Big Lottery Fund Wales to bring shared reading to North Wales.
Over three years, we will establish over 30 shared reading groups throughout communities in North Wales in a variety of settings, bringing great literature and people together within the area. This is The Reader's first bilingual project, with reading groups running in both English and Welsh.
Our team will also be providing training and volunteering opportunities to people to lead their own reading groups within their local communities.
Our Llais a Llyfr/Make Friends With A Book Project is underway, with shared running groups running in libraries across North Wales, for adults and after-school groups for children, using English and Welsh reading material.
For full location details and start dates of our shared reading groups in North Wales, see our Reading With Us group map.
Have a question or query? Leave us a message and we’ll get it to the team member who can answer.
