Great literature is about people – and we are too.
As well as being home to a growing number of staff, The Reader is comprised of volunteers who work and read with us, a board of trustees, patrons, a community of shared reading practitioners and hundreds of group members.
Each and every one of Our People is vital to helping us realise our vision of a society where everyone reads together, for the pleasure of doing so.
The Reader magazine offers a mix of new poetry and fiction, classic and neglected works and interviews with leading literary figures.
Share the joy of reading aloud with our poetry and short story anthologies
