The Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS) helps to drive growth, enrich lives and grow businesses and communities by investing in innovation.

 

Through the Second Half Fund, Nesta and Department for Digital, Media and Sport are supporting The Reader’s Shared Reading North West project to create over 200 new Shared Reading groups across the region. This community-led project will mobilise the time and talents of over 800 people aged 50+ to help others in their communities.

HMP Frankland

HMP Frankland is a High Security prison holding Category A, Category A High Risk and Category B adult males.

 HMP Low Newton

Low Newton serves the courts in the catchment area from the Scottish Borders to North Yorkshire across to North Cumbria. All remand females aged 18 and over are held and all sentenced female prisoners 18 or over can serve out their sentence, including lifers.

National Personality Disorder Team, Dept. of Health/Home Office

Personality disorder is a complex psycho-social disorder. It affects between 4 and 11% of the UK population, 50% of offenders managed by probation services, and 60-70% of prisoners.
