Autumn Wellbeing Workshop: Joy Harjo
Join us for an uplifting afternoon of wellbeing and light inspired by American poet, musician, and writer, Joy Harjo. First published in 1983 and now considered a classic, She Had Some Horses is a powerful poetic exploration of womanhood, despair, awakenings, power, and love.
We begin with a relaxed Shared Reading session led by our experienced practitioners using a selection of Harjo’s most beautiful works. We’ll then take a guided walk to bask in the autumnal landscape of Calderstones Park.
To finish the afternoon, we’ll return to the Mansion House to enjoy a drink and will provide everything you need to build your own poetry collection to take home – the perfect gift for a loved one or a treat for yourself to return to when you need a moment of inspiration and calm.
