Join wellbeing duo Bernadette McBride and Karen Podesta on this mini-retreat to celebrate the coming of Spring. Long-time collaborators Bernadette and Karen have intertwined yoga and nature-inspired writing workshops across many events; from the moors, to woodlands, along the coast and now at the beautiful Mansion House nestled within the tranquil grounds of Calderstones Park.
Our retreat follows the Spring Equinox (which occurs on Friday 20 March at 03:50am) and will lead you forward into a season associated with balance, growth and new beginnings.
“The mind of Man is fram'd even like the breath
And harmony of music...” – William Wordsworth
Flow is the essence in both the world of yoga and writing, and in combining the two the processes and output involved in each become deepened and more fully expressed and experienced. The movement of the mind is so closely linked to the movement of the body.
As we transition from a season of inward reflection to a season of renewal, Karen will lead cleansing and balancing yoga and holistic coaching sessions, focused on shedding stagnant energy, habits and beliefs and bringing our intentions and creative energy to fruition.
Bernadette will lead sessions on both nature writing and writing for wellbeing, though the two often come as one. Weather dependent, we will spend time outside in the park and walled garden for a creative writing exercise.
The Reader café will serve a delicious vegan & plant-based lunch and herbal teas will be available throughout the day.
