Storybarn Relaxed Sessions

At our next Relaxed Session on Saturday 6 April, three Pets As Therapy dogs will be paying a very special visit. The presence of a PAT Dog can boost a young person’s motivation and morale. Dogs are non-judgemental and great listeners and are also known to encourage positive social behaviours, enhance self-esteem and inspire young people to relax and have fun.

We are opening the doors of the Storybarn especially for families with autistic children and families with sensory conditions so they can come and enjoy our wonderful imaginative play space in a stress free environment. 

A Storyhunter will be on hand to help you if you need it; but we will not be running activities or group story sharing.  

We will have a relaxed attitude to noise and movement, and give families a chance to explore the space at their own pace and in their own way. 

There is a reduced capacity for this event, so it will not be as busy as most of our other public sessions.

Children with additional needs are always welcome to join us at any of our events, and we will always do what we can to support you, but we also know that sometimes what you really need is the freedom to just do it your own way! 

Tickets are £4 per person. Under 1’s are free but will need a ticket.
