Charles Dickens, Nicholas Nickleby

Following our recent closure, we’re happy to announce that we’ll be gradually reopening the site from this Saturday 3 October.

If you’re planning to visit us, here’s what you need to know:

From this Saturday onwards …

Takeaway will be available from the Ice Cream Parlour from 8.30am – 4pm every day.

The public toilets in the park will also be open from 10am – 4.30pm every day

From this Sunday onwards …

The Reader Café’s table service will be up and running again from 10am – 4pm every day.

From Thursday 8 October …

The Reader Shop and Calderstones exhibition area in the Mansion House will reopen and be able to welcome visitors every week from Thursday to Sunday

Please follow our Covid-19 guidance during your visit so we can all stay safe together. If you have a smartphone, this includes checking in using the NHS Covid-19 app for Track & Trace app - look for the QR codes on display in the Café, Ice Cream Parlour and Shop.

If you don’t have the app, a member of the team will request to take your details in writing.

Thank you for your continued support.
