Community & Volunteer Engagement Co-ordinator – Gwynedd

We are looking for someone with strong community engagement experience who can make a real difference to The Reader’s presence in North Wales over a nine-month period. Of course, The Reader needs staff with a connection to and respect for what literature can do in the world, but this role also requires the people and networking skills to engage a range of potential partners and get them enthused about the benefits Shared Reading could have for their service users, along with building skills and confidence in volunteers so that together we can increase engagement among socially isolated people and those living with mild mental health problems.

You will develop and deliver a Community Engagement plan to raise awareness of the project and maximise the impact we can make in the next nine months. This will mean knowing your patch, the people who live there and how to reach them. Therefore, we are looking for someone with demonstrable experience in working with grass roots partners to make great things happen for communities to provide a well-run and meaningful offer.
