London Partnerships Lead

The Reader is recruiting a Partnerships Lead in London to join our Partnerships Team and help grow the reading revolution across the city. This is an exciting, varied role that will suit a people person who enjoys finding creative ways to develop relationships and collaboration. As The Reader's main point contact for our partners across London, you'll be responsible for inspiring a range of organisations to introduce the joy of Shared Reading to the communities they work with.

We’re looking for someone who loves networking and meeting people as you’ll be working across a range of projects and sectors, from libraries to housing associations, care homes to local charities. You'll play a central role in shaping the future of our work in London, based on the opportunities and community needs you are identifying. We ask that you are driven to achieve the best outcomes for people, grasp the difference a book can make in a life and thrive on solo working as well as joint endeavours. In return, you will be part of a warm, ambitious team who support one another to grow The Reader’s work across the UK and beyond.

As an inclusive employer, we use our values to ensure The Reader is a thoughtful, supportive, creative work environment. All employees at The Reader benefit from:

  • Flexible working options including varied hours where required
  • Generous holiday entitlement of 30 days p/a plus bank holidays
  • Regular opportunities to participate in Shared Reading and experience the personal benefits it brings
  • Access to personal development, including our flagship ‘Read to Lead’ training programme

If you’re inspired by our mission, are looking for a new challenge and want to work for a forward-thinking organisation at a really interesting time, we’d love to hear from you. In light of the communities we work with in London, and in line with our commitment to build diversity into our teams and programmes, we are particularly keen to receive applications from people from black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds.
