Read with Brian Nellist
Today's Featured Poem is a classic piece of literature that has been given the approval of The Reader Organisation's treasured Brian Nellist - and we're offering the chance for you to read a wealth of other great works with the man himself on his new 10-week long reading course.
Taking place at The Lauries Community Centre, Birkenhead, 'Who Am I?' will seek to answer some of life's big questions around identity, situation, choice and character through the reading and exploration of texts including Oliver Twist, Macbeth, Cranford and Lord Jim. By looking at the characters in these works and the course of actions they take, we'll consider just what it is that makes us who we are.
The course begins on Monday 1st October - a week today - and continues every Monday from 10.30am-12.30pm for 10 weeks, so make sure you sign up for a shared reading experience like no other with the Godfather of The Reader Organisation.
Prices are £60 or £30 for concessions (Get Into Reading group members/students/pensioners/ unemployed) and all funds go towards supporting The Reader Organisation’s work.
To sign up, contact Roisin Hyland on roisinhyland@thereader.org.uk or call 0151 207 7207.
