A Shared Reading celebration with People’s Postcode Lottery
“It’s a joy to read with other people…we’re all coming from different places, completely different experiences and we all see such different things, it’s quite enlightening.”
In July, 60 of our brilliant volunteers gathered in the beautiful surroundings of The Athenaeum in Liverpool to celebrate a year of support from People’s Postcode Lottery. In the last twelve months, more than £1 million of player support has had a huge impact on the Shared Reading community around the UK, and this special event gave the chance to say a big thanks to our volunteers, who read some great literature alongside BAFTA nominated actor and Reader Patron Claire Skinner.
