Desmond Elliot Prize 2009
You may recall that last week I told you three of our Get Into Reading groups were going to be reading The Rescue Man by Antony Quinn. At that point, the book was on the longlist for the Desmond Elliott Prize 2009, now it has been shortlisted (hooray!): here's some more information on The Rescue Man and the other contenders for the prize. We're keeping our fingers crossed that The Rescue Man wins (the prize is announced on Wednesday 24th June)! Reading updates from the groups will be coming very soon.
