Rilke Assitance Needed
Readers, your help is needed! A fellow Reader Online reader requires your assistance. 'The Panther' by Rilke was our featured poem last autumn and it has triggered this reader to investigate the 'sitting phase' further...
I have been searching for some actual documentation regarding Rilke sitting and staring for hours at the panther before he wrote the poem. I'm sure I've read about it somewhere but my head, nor my searches are coming up with anything viable. If anyone at The Reader Online has any insight I would appreciate the help very much.
We are sure that there must be people out there that can help, please do let us know if your investigative powers can provide any answers. Leave a comment below or email info@thereader.org.uk. Thanks and happy hunting!
