September Masterclass: Fundraising
Calling all Shared Reading Facilitators!
Fundraising Masterclass
1-5pm, 18th September
Birmingham Midlands Institute
Thus at the flaming forge of life
Our fortunes must be wrought
Thus on its sounding anvil shaped
Each burning deed and thought
Are you looking to set up a shared reading group in your area but struggling to get the money together to do so? Have you found a possible funder for the sector you'd like to work in, but need some technical support with your funding application? This interactive Fundraising Masterclass, led by Chris Catterall, Deputy Director of TRO, and Sophie Povey, Assistant Development Manager, aims to provide an opportunity to access fundraising support tailored towards your needs and areas of interest.
Therefore, to make the session as relevant as possible to those who attend, we would like you to send over a few sentences that outline the specific support you are looking for, e.g. ‘I don’t know how to source suitable funders for a primary school shared reading group’ or ‘I am writing my first funding application and would like some advice around costings’. Send your requests to Roisin by September 1st and we will design the day around your needs.
Masterclasses are special workshops available to everyone who has completed Read to Lead training and aim to deepen the understanding of what it means to be a reader and facilitator.
If you would like to attend this masterclass and send a request, please contact Roisin Hyland at roisinhyland@thereader.org.uk or 0151 207 7207.
