August Masterclass – Out of the Depths: Heart-lift Poems
Calling all Shared Reading Facilitators!
'Out of the Depths: Heart-lift Poems'
1-5pm, 15th August,
Blackburne House, Liverpool
In the latest Masterclass, Kate McDonnell will be exploring why poems which bring hope are so important in shared reading facilitation. Not only can they lift the mood if a darker short story or section of a novel has been read, but they can also be of help to people beyond the group itself. Here at The Reader Organisation, we have discovered that lightheartedness doesn't always lift the heart - so what does?
Come to this session and read deeply into some of the best heart-lift poems we've found, share some of your own, and we'll figure out together why they work.
Masterclasses are special workshops available to everyone who has completed Read to Lead training and aim to deepen the understanding of what it means to be a reader and facilitator.
If you would like to attend this masterclass, please contact Roisin Hyland at roisinhyland@thereader.org.uk or 0151 207 7207.
