We’re Hiring! Join our Front of House Team
We're hosting a Recruitment Day at the Mansion House, Calderstones Park on Tuesday 16 April as we look to expand our fantastic social enterprise team. As we approach the summer, we have a number of Catering opportunities.
"I love working with the amazing team and I also really care about the values of The Reader as a charity- they make this role in catering feel unlike any other!" Emily, Catering Assistant.

Just turn up between 4pm-7pm and one of our friendly team will give you a tour of the café, ice cream parlour, kitchens and events space. Bring your CV if possible or be ready to chat through your interest and experience.
The profits raised by our social enterprises go straight back into our charity meaning that we can continue to bring people together through Shared Reading in a time when it's needed most. Who knew serving a cuppa or preparing a delicious lunch could make such a difference?
The roles we have available are:
- Catering Assistant
- Catering Team Leader
- Chef
- Kitchen Assistant
Previous experience is preferred but not essential. We offer a range of benefits and flexible working hours to suit your lifestyle (whether you're a student or looking for full time employment), just come down and have a chat!
