Internationally acclaimed musician GUO YUE and his writer wife CLARE FARROW collaborated to write their award-winning book, Little Leap Forward (Barefoot Books) a gentle, lyrical story about friendship and freedom, inspired by Yue’s own childhood during the Chinese Cultural Revolution.

Based on their book, Clare and Yue have created a magical hour-long performance that uses a captivating blend of readings, artefacts and live music. The show is about the power of words, music, imagination and individual creativity, and brings a segment of the history of modern China to life.
In the year that marks the 50th anniversary of the Chinese Cultural Revolution, don’t miss this enthralling performance that will leave teachers and children moved and inspired in equal measure.
This event is suitable for children aged between 0-11 and a family audience. Tickets are required per head (for children and adults), with children aged 12 months and under permitted free entry.
