Pick of the Crop!
The Financial Times has chosen A Little, Aloud for Children as one of its books of the year!
Described as an "absolutely impeccable anthology", the book was also reviewed by the newspaper earlier in June, where it was praised as a "splendid idea, admirably executed". Just because you can read for yourself, doesn't mean you have to stop listening to stories read by someone else.
A Little, Aloud for Children is full of entertaining stories and poems which are perfect for sharing whenever and wherever you like, whether that's at bedtime, in the garden, on long car journeys, or when it's too rainy to go outside. 'Charming Creatures', 'Sailing Away', and 'Excuses, Excuses' are just some of themes explored by favourite authors such as Roger McGough, Jacqueline Wilson, Charles Dickens and Benjamin Zephaniah.
All the selections have been specially chosen by The Reader Organisation's Project Workers, who work with young people every day and know exactly which stories and poems are best to make you laugh, make you cry, make you scared, or make you think. They really are the 'pick of the crop'!
