Read to Lead in Dartington, Devon this October
The first winds of Autumn are blowing in and the days are getting darker, but there's a reason to be cheerful awaiting in the season: a special open Read to Lead course running in Dartington Hall, Devon on 29th-31st October 2012.
Embarking on the journey towards becoming a shared reading facilitator is sure to bring some colour into your life - as well in others around you. Over an inspiring and stimulating three days, The Reader Organisation's experienced Project Workers will equip you with the skills you need to bring literature to life and out into your community, enabling you to discover a new way of working with people and literature.
The course is taking place in the South West, where shared reading is already making a big impact: our team are delivering Get Into Reading across communities in Devon, Cornwall, Plymouth, Somerset and Dorset, and groups are going down a treat. Here's what some members have had to say:
"I didn’t get a good education – I never realized I could understand things like this – it’s really helped me – there’s so much more in the poems than you think."
"If anyone had walked by and heard us today they would have said ‘ I want to join that group!' " - Outlook South West Reading Group, Bodmin
You can be a part of the South West Reading Revolution by booking your place on Read to Lead in Dartington today. To apply, or for more information, contact Roisin Hyland, Training Coordinator on roisinhyland@thereader.org.uk or call 0151 207 7207.
