Just behind the Theatre Room, the Mansion House Garden is a magical secret garden, lovingly cared for by The Reader’s garden volunteers and beautiful in every season. Perfect for an outdoor ceremony, drinks reception or relaxed celebration space, it gives guests room to sip a welcome drink, enjoy the surrounding parkland and wander towards the glass enclosure that houses the Neolithic Calder Stones. For larger celebrations, the Theatre Room’s bi-folding doors open directly onto the garden, with a sweeping staircase leading guests outside and plenty of space for a marquee if you’re looking to add an extra wow factor.
As old as Stonehenge, the 5,000-year-old Calder Stones are among the UK’s most significant ancient monuments, creating a truly distinctive backdrop to your celebration.
