An update on activities as lockdown eases
Many of you have been in touch to ask when our in-person Shared Reading groups across the UK and our programme at the Mansion House might be able to resume.
The safety of our group members, volunteers and staff is our primary concern.
We are currently observing Government guidelines about social distancing, and the easing of the lockdown. Given the nature of our model (people meeting and being together, indoors, in groups) we will only be able to resume our activities when the easing of lockdown makes this permissible.
Even then, because we work in so many different venues and community spaces across the UK, we may also have to be guided by our partner organisations and other external factors.
We are as keen as you are to get back to reading and being together in person and are keeping this under continual review. When we have news, we will share it straightaway.
Until we can be together again in person, we hope you are able to make use of the alternative ways we have set up to enable us to keep reading and being together. If you haven’t already – check out The Reader at Home page on our website.
