Home Educators
We're calling all Home Educators to come and experience a full day visit to The Storybarn. Set off on an adventure with our Storyhunters around the park to learn all about the history of Calderstones before heading back to the Storybarn for some Shared Reading, book talk, story building, creative crafts and imaginative play. It's a day all about encouraging your child to make their own pattern in the world!
Best suited to children aged 5 to 10 but everyone is welcome.
Our trip includes an indoor lunch space. You will also receive a 15% discount at our Ice Cream Parlour.
Please dress for all weathers.
National Curriculum Links
Pupils should:
- Be encouraged to read for pleasure and to link what they read or hear to their own experiences
- Explore significant historical events, people and places in their own locality
- Take part in outdoor activity challenges
- Develop an awareness of the past using common words and phrases relating to the passing of time
