Dedalus Press Petition
Small but highly regarded publisher Dedalus Books learned in December that the Arts Council would not be renewing its £25,000 grant and as a result it is likely to close. The figure shows not only how little money is involved in literary book publishing, but also how little makes the difference between survival and extinction. The Reader was lucky enough to have its grant renewed in 2007, though it looked shaky for a while. We know how they are feeling and urge you to sign the petition to support the appeal and help save Dedalus.
